Man charged in connection with assault – Witney

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been charged in connection with an assault in Witney.
Steven Clapton, aged 55, of Weavers Close, Witney, was charged by postal requisition with one count each of intentional strangulation and assault by beating on Tuesday (28/2).
The charges relate to an incident at an address in Weavers Close on the evening of 9 September last year.
Clapton is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 16 March.
