Man charged with rape and sexual assault – Reading

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a man has been charged with rape and sexual assault in Reading.
Shakil Ahmed, aged 42, of Ripley Road, Reading, has been charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault, after his arrest on Thursday (9/3).
The charges are in relation to offences that occurred in Reading last year.
Ahmed appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court yesterday (10/3) and was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on 3 April.
