Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been jailed for rape and other sexual offences in Oxford.
Kiefer Ewers, aged 26, of Shipton Road, Woodstock, was sentenced to 12 years in prison at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (3/3).
He was also given a sexual harm prevention order and he will be on the sex offender register for life.
A jury found Ewers guilty of two counts of rape by majority verdict at the same court on 18 January.
The jury also unanimously found him guilty of two counts of voyeurism and one count each of assault by penetration and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The jury acquitted Ewers of two counts of sexual assault and two other counts of voyeurism.
Ewers raped, sexually assaulted and took various voyeuristic photos of a woman.
He recorded the acts on his mobile phone and stored the videos and photos behind a PIN-protected app.
On 21 May 2019, Ewers attacked the victim by punching, head butting, biting and strangling her, causing bruises and bite marks.
He was charged on 11 January last year.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Martin Whaley said: “I welcome the sentence passed by the judge in this case.
“It truly reflects the seriousness of Kiefer Ewers’ offending, and I hope it goes someway to comfort the victim.
“I also hope that Thames Valley Police’s thorough investigation and the sentenced handed down to Ewers will encourage other victims of such crimes to come forward and contact the police.
“If you are a victim of crime, we have specialist trained officers who will listen and support you.”
