As part of the security preparations for the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, Thames Valley Police Mounted Section is carrying out patrols in Windsor.
The team will be conducting patrols in and around the town centre and assisting with crowd control as needed.
Our horses provide our riders with a great height advantage that enables them to see into crowds and have a lot of experience being in exceptionally busy areas and managing large crowds.
Local residents, business and visitors will also have noticed an increased police presence in Windsor, which is part of the many visible and not so visible security measures in place in the town.
If you are visiting Windsor, or live and work in the area and see or hear something that doesn’t feel right, please speak to one of our officers.
Our Mounted Section and increased police presence are just some of the many security measures we have in place to ensure the safety of local residents, businesses and visitors to Windsor for the Coronation of Their Majesties.
The Mounted Section will be on patrol throughout the weekend across Windsor.
There will also be an increased police presence across the town.
