Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an incident of dangerous driving in Yarnton, Oxfordshire.
At approximately 11am, yesterday (20/5) officers from the Roads Policing Unit signalled for the driver of a blue Audi TT, partial registration VO12 to stop.
The driver failed to stop and made off from police at speed between the A44 Yarnton and Yarnton Road, Cassington.
The Audi collided with a telegraph pole before coming to a stop in a field and the driver of the vehicle then made off on foot and has not been located.
The driver is described as a mixed-race man, aged in his twenties, and he was wearing a light coloured top and dark bottoms.
He made off down Bell Close holding his ribs.
Investigating officer Sergeant Joe Clamp of the Roads Policing Unit based at Bicester, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident of dangerous driving or who may have dash-cam of the incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“You can do so by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43230221151.
“You can also submit digital evidence, such as dash-cam footage via a dedicated portal for this investigation.”
