Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault which occurred in Reading.
The incident took place at about 12.50am today (19/11) in London Road.
The victim, a 41-year-old woman, was sexually assaulted by a man she did not know. After the incident was reported, officers attended the scene and later arrested a 41-year-old man. He remains in police custody at this time.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Beverley Pearse, said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation and work is taking place to establish the exact circumstances.
“We have made an arrest and our officers will be in the area today carrying out enquiries. As such, members of the public are likely to see an increased police presence today.
“I’d like to appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward, particularly any drivers who might have dash-cam footage.
