Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been convicted of sex offences that took place in Woodley.
Richard Still, aged 38, of Louden Square, Earley, pleaded guilty to three counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 16 and one count of causing or inciting child prostitution or pornography at Reading Crown Court yesterday (13/11).
Still is due to be sentenced on 19 December at the same court.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Rivkah Winetroube, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “The child in this case has been very brave in coming forwards and I would encourage anyone who has been a victim of childhood sexual abuse to report it to the police.
“We always take allegations of this nature seriously, regardless of how much time has passed and a full investigation will take place. Wherever there is sufficient evidence we will seek to bring offenders to justice.”
