Amended- Woman charged with murder and attempted murder - Banbury

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, a woman has been charged with murder and attempted murder in Banbury.

Lisa Davenport, aged 54, of Washle Drive, Middleton Cheney, has this morning (8/9) been charged with one count of the murder of Barrie Davenport and one count of the attempted murder of Barrie Davenport.

Lisa Davenport is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court today (8/9).

Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit launched a murder investigation after the death of 88-year-old Barrie Davenport at an assisted living complex in School Lane at 7.26pm on Monday 17 October 2022.

Lisa Davenport was arrested on 18 October 2022 and was subsequently released on police bail.
