Appeal for witnesses following report of a kidnap – Abingdon

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a report of a kidnap in Abingdon.

The incident occurred at around 2.50am on Friday (15/9) in Amyce Close.

The victim, a man in his twenties, was assaulted before being put in a dark coloured car.

He required hospital treatment for his injuries and has since been discharged.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Nathan Adby, based at Abingdon police station, said: “We are carrying out an investigation and are working to establish more details as to what occurred but we believe this to be an isolated incident.

“I would like to speak to anyone who has any information which could help our investigation, especially anyone who has any CCTV or dash-cam footage would could be relevant.
