Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Witney.
At approximately 12.20am on Sunday (11/8), the victims, a man aged in his forties and another aged in his late teens, were standing at the taxi rank in High Street.
An unknown man approached them and assaulted both victims.
The man in his forties attempted to protect the other victim and sustained a cut below his eye as a result of the incident.
The offender is described as a white man, approximately 6ft 2ins tall and was wearing navy blue shorts, a blue jacket and sliders.
Neither victim required hospital treatment.
Case investigator Tracy Wilkinson said: “This incident has occurred at the taxi rank in Witney town centre.
“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I would also ask any drivers, particularly taxi drivers, to check their dash-cams, and if it has captured the incident, to please contact us.
