Appeal for witnesses following fail to stop serious injury collision – Slough

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop road traffic collision, which has left a child with a serious leg injury.

At approximately 8.30pm on Wednesday (21/8), a dark green people carrier, possibly an old style Ford Galaxy, was involved in a collision with a nine-year-old boy in Cippenham Lane, Slough.

The boy sustained a broken right ankle as a result of the collision and was treated in hospital. He has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Jonathan Housby of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for the driver of a large green people carrier, who was travelling on Cippenham Lane on Wednesday to please come forward.

“The vehicle involved was in collision with the child, causing a serious leg injury.

“The vehicle stopped momentarily, but then was driven off.

“I am also releasing this image of the car we believe to be involved in the incident.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or who may have dash-cam or CCTV of the incident to please contact us.
