Thames Valley Police is appealing for information in connection with a fight between a group of males in Slough.
A group of males were seen to be arguing in High Street between about 10.10pm and 11pm yesterday (31/8).
This argument then progressed into a fight between the group, during which weapons were used.
Police officers arrived at the scene and arrested nine males aged between 16 and 26-years-old.
Due to the incident, Thames Valley Police enforced a Section 60 Order, which temporarily allows police officers greater powers to stop and search.
The order began at 11.30pm yesterday and will be in place for 24 hours. If necessary, the order can then be extended.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Pete Wall said: “The group were involved in an argument for about a half an hour before it progressed into a fight.
“There were a number of members of the public in the High Street last night and may have witnessed the argument or fight.
“If you have any footage or saw the group then please contact us as soon as possible. You can leave any information you may have via this dedicated webpage for the investigation or call us on 101, quoting the investigation number 43240419158.
“We are conducting a thorough investigation and have arrested nine males who are all currently in police custody.
“We believe the males involved in the incident were all known to each and there is no wider threat to the public.”
