Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a rape in High Wycombe.
At around 9pm on Monday (16/12), a woman was raped by a man in The Rye, off Bassetsbury Lane.
A 36-year-old man from High Wycombe has been arrested on suspicion of rape and is in police custody.
The victim is being supported by specially trained officers, at this time.
There is an increased police presence in the area. Anyone with concerns should speak to a uniformed officer.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Holly Stockwell said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the moments leading up to this concerning incident to please get in touch.
“I understand this may cause concern but we have an increased police presence in the area.
“If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to a uniformed officer.
“If you have any information that could assist us with our investigation, please call us on 101 or make an online report, quoting 43240608714.
