Yesterday (17/12), Thames Valley Police carried out warrants at addresses across High Wycombe under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
A 29-year-old man, a 25-year-old man, two 19-year-old men, and a 17-year-old boy, all from High Wycombe were each arrested on suspicion of violent disorder; they have all since been released on bail.
Inspector Harry Gehnich, part of High Wycombe’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “These warrants follow investigations into incidents which occurred in Castlefield on Halloween (31/10).
“There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to help tackle violent disorder and antisocial behaviour in High Wycombe.
“I hope that these actions demonstrate that we take incidents of violence seriously and will take robust measures to address criminality and keep our communities safe.
“The information we receive from the public relating to violent offences in the area is vital in developing intelligence to support proactive investigations.
“If you have any further information, we encourage you to report it to us by calling 101 or through the online reporting service on our website.”
