Following a Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit murder investigation, a man has been charged with murder and ABH.
Daniel Gonzalez, aged 40, from Oxford Road, Garsington, was charged today (18/12) with one count each of murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm on a police officer.
The charges are in relation to an incident that occurred in Garsington on Sunday (15/12) on Oxford Road, in which a man in his seventies sadly died.
Formal identification is yet to take place. We continue to support the family at this difficult time, and our thoughts are with them.
The family would ask for their privacy to be respected at this time.
Gonzalez is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates Court today (18/12).
