Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, two men have been jailed for drug offences in Boarstall.
Shohab Ahmed, aged 30, of Harcourt Terrace, Headington, was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison on Tuesday 12 December at Oxford Crown Court.
He previously pleaded guilty to one count each of possession with the intent to supply a class A drug, namely Cocaine, possession with the intent to supply a class A drug, namely MDMA, possession with the intent to supply a class B drug, namely Cannabis and conceal/disguise/convert/transfer/remove criminal property at the same court on 15 December 2023.
Vijay Sarbatta was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison on 1 March 2024 at Oxford Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to one count each of possession with the intent to supply a class A drug, namely Cocaine, possession with the intent to supply a class A drug, a fungus which contains psilocin or an ester of psilocin, possession with the intent to supply a class B drug, namely cannabis and conceal/disguise/convert/transfer/remove criminal property at the same court.
On Thursday 19 October 2023, warrants were executed at lodges in Panshill Fisheries in Boarstall.
Ahmed and Sarbatta were found in the lodges and numerous types of illegal drugs were found.
Ahmed and Sarbatta were both arrested on the same day.
The total street value of drugs seized is around £533,135.
Ahmed and Sarbatta were charged on 21 October 2023.
Investigating officer PC Alexander Gibb said: “We will not tolerate drug dealing in our communities, as it often causes significant harm to the most vulnerable members of society.
“We will relentlessly target and prosecute offenders, like Ahmed and Sarbatta, and we will pursue those involved in the supply of drugs.
“Information from the public about drug-related activity in Oxfordshire is paramount in helping us develop intelligence for proactive investigations.
