Thames Valley Police is releasing a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to following an assault in Reading.
At around 11.15pm on Friday 11 October, a woman got off a bus on Oxford Road and a group of women followed her after they had been verbally abusive to a man on the same bus. When they were near to the junction at Little John’s Lane, the woman was punched in the face. The group continued to verbally abuse the victim until they left.
The victim sustained cuts to her eyebrow and bruise on her face, which she required hospital treatment for and has been discharged.
Investigating officer PC Jemima Hunt said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the individual in the image as they may have vital information to assist us with our enquiries.
“If you are the person pictured, please come forward as soon as possible.
“If you have any information relating to this incident, please call 101 or report it online, quoting 43240490949.
“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
