Following a trial at Swindon Magistrates' Court an officer has been convicted of driving without due care and attention.
PC Charlotte Morris, aged 23, who is based at Slough police station pleaded guilty at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (6/2).
She was sentenced to five penalty points on her licence, and ordered to pay a fine, costs and a victim surcharge totalling £462.
Her conviction relates to an incident in which PC Morris was on duty driving a marked police car on 27 August 2023 along Eton Wick Road, when she collided with two parked cars, causing the police vehicle to go on to its roof. A third parked vehicle was also damaged, but was not struck directly.
A fellow police officer, who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries, as did PC Morris herself. No one else was injured.
An investigation will now be conducted by our Professional Standards Department following the conclusion of these proceedings.
