Thames Valley Police is releasing an image of a man officers would like to speak to as they believe he may have vital information about a robbery that took place at Waitrose on London Road, Ascot.
The incident occurred at around 7.40pm on 12 June when the offender entered the store and proceeded to steal five bottles of champagne worth more than £250.
When challenged by the security guard, the offender then shouted threats while brandishing what was believed to be a large knife.
Investigating officer PC Lucy Greenwood, based at Maidenhead Police Station, said: “I am asking anybody who recognises this man to please get in touch with us as we believe he may be able to support us with our investigation.
“If you are the man pictured, please come forward as soon as possible.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have witness the incident, the event leading up to it or the offender making off.
“To contact us, call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240275839.
“Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
