Following the sentencing in relation to the manslaughter of Temur Qureshi, aged 19, in Hampden Road, Slough, on 30 September last year, his mother has released the following tribute.

08/06/2004 – The day Temur was born. Temur was more than just my son – he was my world, my reason for breathing. His absence leaves a void so deep; it feels like I’m drowning in sorrow every single day.

Temur with his wider family in Pakistan. This crime has affected so many people not just us, his immediate family. Temur loved his family in Pakistan and spent significant time there. His uncles, aunties and cousins will never see him again, and none could attend his funeral. They are devastated.

This picture holds a precious memory of Temur, who is no longer with us. In this moment, Temur's presence radiates warmth and joy, a reminder of the love and laughter he brought into our lives. Though he may be physically absent, his spirit lives on in our hearts. May this image serve as a tribute to his beautiful soul and the cherished moments we shared. Dear Temur.
  • 20240531 Op Irongate tribute TEMUR & ABDULAZIZ
Temur and his best friend Abdulaziz. This photo was taken in 2022. Both these boys are now dead, as a direct result of knife crime in our community. Temur had to watch Abdulaziz pass away in front of him. I pray no other family had to go through what our families have been through.
  • 20240531 Op Irongate tribute TEMUR AND KIYAH
Temur and his young daughter. He dreamed of watching her grow, of being there for her every step of the way, of sharing in her joys and triumphs. His heart overflowed with love for her, and he longed for nothing more than to be a guiding light in her life. That innocent child will grow up without her father, without his love, his guidance, his presence. She will never know the warmth of his embrace, the sound of his laughter, the depth of his love.

  • 20240531 Op Irongate tribute TEMUR PRAYING
Temur and his faith. This picture captures my son Temur’s unwavering dedication to prayer. Five times a day, he found solace and strength in his prayers. His faith was a guiding light in his life, shining brightly in every moment of prayer. May this image reflect the peace and devotion he carried with him always. Rest in peace, dear Son.
  • 20240531 Op Irongate tribute TEMUR AND YOUSUF
Temur and his Father. He has lost his only son. He has lost the chance to make more memories with Temur. He has lost the chance to be friends with Temur into his old age. He will never be able to cook with Temur again, and will never be able to make another family trip to Pakistan. He is broken.
  • 20240531 Op Irongate tribute TATIANA & TEMUR
Temur, is our heart, our soul, our treasure, our today, our tomorrow, our forever, our everything.
  • 20240531 Op Irongate tribute GRAVE 2
Temur’s grave. This is where I visit my son now, and will for the rest of my life. This is where I will shortly see him for his birthday. Before anyone even considers carrying a knife, think of these photographs, think of Temur and think of the huge life changing impact you will have on countless people. This has to stop.
