Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a sexual assault in Thatcham.
At approximately 2pm on Tuesday (5/11) on Station Road, the victim, a woman, was approached by a male who grabbed her shoulder and then attempted to kiss her, but the victim managed to get away.
The offender is described as an Asian man, approximately 5ft 6ins tall, with a short stubbly beard. He was seen to be wearing a knee length brown robe and a thick black puffer coat.
Investigating officer PC Glenn Turner, based at Newbury police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this sexual assault incident to please come forward.
“Anyone with information or footage relating to the incident should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240535291.
“Alternatively, for anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
