A man who was arrested in connection with an ongoing murder investigation has been released on conditional bail while investigations continue.
In the early hours of Saturday morning (2/11) a woman in her forties was attended to by South Central Ambulance Service at an address in Holywell Place, Milton Keynes.
She was taken to hospital but was later pronounced deceased.
A police investigation was launched following the death. Further enquiries were undertaken on Saturday (3/11) and, a man in his forties was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He has now been granted bail until 20 January 2025.
Formal identification of the victim has now taken place and we can confirm the victim as 42-year-old Carol Georgiou from Milton Keynes.
We continue support her family at this very difficult time through specially trained officers.
A Home Office post-mortem has been conducted, however the cause of death is still to be determined and further forensic tests are required.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Mike Roddy, said: “We are continuing our investigation into this tragic incident, and Carol’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.
