Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault and theft in Oxford.
The incident occurred between 7.20am and 7.40am yesterday (11/11) at a bus stop on Cowley Road near Magdalen Road.
A man assaulted a woman and proceeded to leave the scene with her mobile phone and bank cards.
The woman sustained bruising to her face but did not require hospital treatment.
The offender is described as a white man in his early 40s, approximately 6ft tall, of broad build. He had grey hair and a black and grey beard. He was seen to be wearing a grey tracksuit.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Michael Hopcroft, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward, particularly to those who were on a passing bus at the time of the incident.
“Anyone with information relating to the incident should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240545139. If you have CCTV footage please upload it to our dedicated online portal.
“Alternatively, for anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
