Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been jailed for rape and other offences in Slough.
Bobby Junior Taylor, aged 37, of Rokesby Road Slough, was sentenced 11 years and six months in prison at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday 6 November.
He was found guilty by jury to one count each of rape, sexual assault, assault, strangulation and three counts of criminal damage, at the same court on 25 October.
Taylor subjected his victim, a woman, by raping her and sexually assaulting her.
He also assaulted her by strangling her and using her hair to pull her head back as well as damaging her personal belongings. He was arrested on 25 September 2023 and charged two days later.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Elena Di Biago said: “The sentence reflects the seriousness of the violent and extremely dangerous assaults perpetrated against the victim who was raped, sexually assaulted and strangled.
“I would like to thank the victim for her bravery; she went through a horrible ordeal but found the courage to support the investigation without her support a dangerous individual would still be on the streets
“I am pleased that Taylor has been sentenced and I hope this result demonstrates that we do take reports such as this extremely seriously, we will support victims and and Thames Valley Police will always look to bring offenders to justice.”
