Following an investigation by the force, a serving Thames Valley Police officer has been charged with a sex offence in Wallingford.
On 23 October this year, PC Daniel Hunt, aged 32, was charged with one count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
The offence occurred in Wallingford on 14 December 2023.
Hunt, who is stationed at Maidenhead Police Station, was arrested on 25 January this year and has been suspended from duty since that date.
He is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 29 November.
