Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision in Reading.
At just after 10.45pm on Wednesday (20/11), a dark estate vehicle was travelling in the direction of Reading on London Road, near to Cemetery Junction.
The vehicle was then involved in a collision with a male pedestrian, who sustained potentially life-changing injuries.
The pedestrian, aged in his thirties, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains at this time.
A 31-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and driving without insurance.
He has been released under investigation.
Investigating officer PC Ben Taylor of the Roads Policing Unit said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“If you have dash-cam or CCTV footage that may assist this investigation, you can submit this online via our dedicated portal for this investigation.
