Man sentenced to prison for sexual offences– West Oxfordshire

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced to prison for sexual offences in West Oxfordshire.

Connor Beesley, aged 22, of no fixed abode, was jailed for three years and nine months following a hearing at Oxford Crown Court on 20 November.

Beesley previously pleaded guilty to two counts of engaging in a penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15 at the same court in October 2023.

The offences took place in West Oxfordshire in the last five years.

He was arrested on 5 April 2022 and was charged on the 20 October 2023.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Samantha Hunter, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “I would like to pay tribute to the victim in this case, as she has displayed tremendous dignity to support our investigation to bring Beesley to justice.

“The victim in this case has shown such bravery in coming forward and speaking up against the person who abused her.

“It is a top priority of Thames Valley Police to tackle violence against women and girls in all its forms, and I am pleased that Beesley is now in prison where he belongs.

“This sentence goes no way in erasing what the survivor has endured, but it means that Beesley is now in prison, which is what he deserves.
