Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a woman who defrauded her employer out of more than half £1m has been jailed.
Alida Ludewig, aged 51, of Corfe Way, Farnborough, Hampshire, has been jailed for four years.
Ludewig, pictured, pleaded guilty to one count of fraud by abuse of position and was jailed at Reading Crown Court on Friday (15/11).
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Claire Midwinter, said: “Alida Ludewig worked for Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa as the finance manager.
“Between 2018 and 2022, Ludewig used the company credit cards to purchase personal items to the total of £543,782.53.
“Ludewig was a trusted member of staff and her actions have had a massive detrimental impact on the company.”
Ludewig was arrested on 19 December 2022 and was charged with the offence on 17 January this year.
