Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing a man who is wanted for failing to appear at court in connection with a fraud investigation in Abingdon.
Simon Ascoli, aged 53, is a white man, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall with a stock build, dark brown hair and blue eyes.
Ascoli was charged in September with two counts of fraud by false representation, but failed to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 8 October.
Investigating officer PC Elizabeth Smith said: “I am appealing to anybody who knows the whereabouts of Simon Ascoli to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police, either by reporting online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43240484357.
“If you see Ascoli, do not approach him and call 999 instead.
“If you do not wish to speak directly with police, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
