Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit can now confirm the identity of the victim in the ongoing murder investigation in Slough.
The victim sadly died on Sunday (29/9) after he was assaulted on Stoke Road on Tuesday 24 September.
Formal identification has now taken place and the force can confirm that the victim is Giovanni Cecaro, aged 82, from Slough.
His next of kin are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from Slough, were arrested on Wednesday 25 September on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They have both been released on bail.
Mr Cecaro’s family do not wish to comment and ask the media to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
