A man from Oxford has today (9/4) been charged in connection with a stabbing in Blackbird Leys Park on Sunday (7/4).
Michael Oluyitan, aged 21, of Waynflete Road, Headington, was charged with one count of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, and one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The charge is in connection with an incident at around 4.40pm on Sunday (6/4) in Blackbird Leys Park in which a 17-year-old boy was stabbed, sustaining serious injuries to his face, hands and buttocks.
Oluyitan is due before Oxford Magistrates’ Court today.

An 18-year-old man also arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent in connection with Sunday’s incident and attempted murder in connection with a previous incident in Fry’s Hill Park, Oxford, on 25 March, remains in police custody at this time.
