Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been jailed for a robbery, assault and criminal damage in High Wycombe last Christmas.
Kieron Trim, aged 37, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count each of robbery, assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and criminal damage at Aylesbury Crown Court on 11 February. The judge then sentenced him to a year and 10 months in prison.
At around 3am on Christmas Eve last year, Trim followed a vulnerable man in his fifties to the cashpoint at Tesco Express on Hatters Lane while making threats that he would stab him.
At the cashpoint, Trim pushed the victim out of the way and stole £20 before punching him in the face. The victim lost a tooth as a result.
On Christmas Day, Trim smashed a window at the victim’s house with a metal pole.
Trim was charged on New Year’s Day this year.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Conor Cormican said: “Kieron Trim threatened to stab a vulnerable man before robbing him and punching him in the face, resulting in a lost tooth, on Christmas Eve. He then smashed the victim’s window on Christmas Day.
“Thames Valley Police will never tolerate such behaviour and we will always work to put offenders like Trim before the courts.”
