Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in which a woman aged in her forties has tragically died.
At just after 10.30pm on Monday (24/2), police and ambulance were called to Bay Road, near to the junction with Deepfield Road in Bracknell, where a pedestrian had been involved in a serious collision with a vehicle, a black-coloured Ford.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene, and a car which matched the description of the one involved in the collision was located a short time later, having crashed into a bollard on Opladen Way, near the junction of Leaves Green.
The driver has decamped from the vehicle, thought to be on foot.
The victim was taken to hospital, but tragically, she died of her injuries on Tuesday (25/2).
Her family are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
A 32-year-old man from Bracknell has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance, and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
He has been released on police bail while the investigation continues.
A 30-year-old woman, also from Bracknell, has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, assisting an offender, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
