Thames Valley Police has made an arrest in connection with an assault in Witney.
A 17-year-old boy from Witney was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon last night (1/3). He remains in police custody.
The arrest relates to an incident in Wenman Road on Friday afternoon (28/2).
Detective Inspector Iain Roberts said: “We have been investigating this incident as a priority and we have now made an arrest.
“Our enquiries are ongoing so people may continue to see an increased police presence in the Wenman Road area. Anyone with concerns is welcome to speak to a uniformed officer or get in touch.
“I am still appealing for any witnesses to come forward as well as anyone with information, footage or images relating to the incident.
“Please either call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 1136 of Friday.
"Alternatively, provide information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website."
