Thames Valley Police is releasing an image of a man officers would like to speak to in relation to a robbery investigation in Loudwater, High Wycombe.
At approximately 2am on Thursday (27/2), the victim, a man aged in his twenties, was called by a man to assist with putting a tyre onto a white Ford Transit van with the partial registration number of YX24 in Birfield Road, Loudwater.
When the tyre was replaced, the offender attacked the victim with a hammer and stole cash, his wallet containing bankcards, and tools. The victim was not injured.
Investigating officer PC Matthew Leigh said: “This incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, and I am releasing this image of a man who I believe may have vital information that could assist this investigation.
“I appreciate the image is not of a high quality, but he is wearing a distinctive bright blue cyan top with a black coat over the top.
“I would urge this person to come forward to the police, or if you recognise him, to please contact us.
“You can make a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43250097213.
“I would also like to appeal to anybody who believes they witnessed this incident, or who may have dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell camera footage which could help, to please get in touch.
“If you don’t wish to speak directly with police, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.
“Although I appreciate incidents such as this will cause concern in our communities, this appears to have been an isolated incident and we are making a full and thorough investigation”
