Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been charged with attempted murder and other offences in Hamstead Marshall near Newbury.
Jacob Power, aged 22, of Ash Tree Grove, Hamstead Marshall, was charged with one count each of attempted murder, burglary dwelling and theft.
The charges relate to offences at The White Hart Inn in Hamstead Marshall on 7 November last year.
Power was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a private place on the same date in Hamstead Marshall.
Power was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on 31 March.
