Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a man has been jailed for various offences including dangerous driving in Milton Keynes.
Martin Connors, aged 31, of Tottenhall Road, Enfield, has been jailed for two years and disqualified from driving for three years and 12 days.
Connors pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen goods, one count of driving a motor vehicle dangerously and one count of burglary.
On 29 June last year, Connors received a stolen vehicle from Birmingham, a BMW 3 Series.
Connors drove the stolen vehicle dangerously across Milton Keynes.
Thames Valley Police officers pursued the vehicle, but during the pursuit Connors’ stolen vehicle collided with a police car in Broadlands.
Two police officers received injuries; one of whom sustained serious injuries.
The stolen vehicle was later located and Connors was identified as a suspect through forensic enquiries. Connors’ blood was found on the driver’s side airbag.
On 6 July last year, Connors then committed a burglary in Leighton Road, taking jewellery and cash.
Connors was once again identified through forensic examinations, during which his DNA was found on a door.
Thames Valley Police tracked down Connors and he was arrested on 11 August last year and charged with the offences the following day.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Emily King said: “Martin Connors carried out a crime spree last summer which impacted on a number of victims.
“This case should send a clear warning to offenders, through our thorough investigations we will arrest, charge and jail you.”
Connors pleaded guilty on 17 January and was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday (22/1).
