The family of John Burdon, who tragically died following a road traffic collision in Woodstock on Monday (30/6), have released the following tribute to him.
“We would like to thank the Woodstock community for their support and kind words following the sad and tragic death on Tuesday of our father, grandfather and great grandfather.
“John had lived in Woodstock for 14 years and was a regular sight in the town and walking in the Blenheim estate.
“He was loved and respected by many residents and known for his kindness, generosity and as a true gentleman.
“John loved to sing and had been a member of the Woodstock choral society. He was also a regular member of the congregation in church on Sundays.
“We appreciate all the help offered and will let everyone know about funeral arrangements in due course.”
