Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, two men have been jailed for drug offences in High Wycombe.
Rahim Deda, aged 30, and Azem Kalia, aged 29, both of no fixed abode, have each been sentenced to eight months in prison at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 27 February.
They both pleaded guilty to one count each of the cultivation of cannabis at the same hearing.
On Wednesday 26 February, Deda and Kalia were both detained when trying to escape from a disused property in Cadmore End, where they had been growing cannabis.
They were arrested on the same day and charged the following day.
Investigating officer PC Usman Shafique, of the Buckinghamshire Proactive Team, said: “I am pleased that Deda and Kalia have been sentenced for their actions.
“We are committed to removing drugs from our communities, which can cause so much harm, particularly to those most vulnerable.
“We would always urge our communities to report drug dealing to Thames Valley Police, and we will be able to investigate, seize these drugs and make our communities safer for all.
