Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) and sentenced for a string of shoplifting offences.
Malcom Hearn, aged 26, of Grenville Close, Burnham was sentenced on Tuesday 18 February to eight and a half months prison, after he pleaded guilty to nine shoplifting offences at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.
In the same hearing, Hearn was made subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), which will last for two years.

Hearn was acquitted of one common assault charge.
Between 24 November 2024 and 14 December 2024, Hearn committed nine shoplifting offences across various food retailers in Burnham and Slough, totalling over £1,300.
Hearn worked alongside Kieran O’Neill, aged 54, of Hanbury Close, Burnham and Aaron Moody, aged 32, of Hanbury Close, Burnham, who were sentenced in December, Oneill was sentenced to three months in prison and Moody was given three and a half months in prison for a total of 16 shoplifting offences, stealing approximately £2,350.
Hearn was arrested on 14 December 2024 and charged the following day.
Investigating officer PC Dominik Lennard, part of the Taplow, Burnham and Farnham Neighbourhood team, said: “These prolific shoplifters have caused significant financial damage to the local business community as well as put members of the public and employees in risk of harm’s way.
“With the help of the public, we have been able to gather the evidence that led to this conviction. We’d like to thank the community with the help provided throughout the investigation
“Hearn has now been given a Criminal Behaviour Order with conditions he must follow.
“We remain committed to supporting retailers who are impacted by shoplifting by bringing offenders such as Hearn before the courts to face justice.”
