Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help to find a man who is wanted in connection with an assault in Oxford.
Geraldo Noka is believed to be part of a group that assaulted two men in their twenties outside Café Baba and Bodrum on Cowley Road at around 4.30am on New Year’s Day this year.
One of the victims sustained significant injuries, including a fractured jawbone, multiple facial wounds and lost and broken teeth, when he was repeatedly punched in the face, pulled down to the ground, and brutally kicked by the offenders while he was curled up on the floor. The offenders then ran away.
Noka, aged 22, is around 6ft tall, of medium build, and is known to frequent Cowley Road and Iffley Road, Oxford.
We have already arrested four people in relation to the assault; two have been charged and the others have been released on police bail.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Isabel Searle, based at St Aldate’s police station, said: “We have now identified a fifth man, Geraldo Noka, in connection with this assault so we are appealing for the public’s help to find him.
“If you see Noka, do not approach him and call 999 instead. If you know where Noka is or may have seen him, please call 101, visit a police station, or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43260000325.
“We will never tolerate violence in our patch, so we are committing to serving the victims and bringing the offenders to justice.”
