Man sentenced for conspiracy to receive stolen goods – Burnham

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for conspiracy to receive stolen goods in Burnham. 

Ernestas Navickas (pictured below), aged 27, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to receive stolen goods on Friday 1 May at Aylesbury Crown Court, followed by a Newton hearing.

At the same hearing, Navickas was sentenced to three years and nine months’ imprisonment. 

Between 1 April 2025 and 16 October 2025, Navickas worked at an illicit car mechanic garage on Huntswood Lane, where he dismantled, packaged and transported stolen vehicles abroad. The vehicles had been stolen from across the UK, including locations as far afield as Scotland and Wales. 

Navickas was arrested on 15 October of last year and was subsequently charged two days later (17/10). 

Investigating officers Detective Corron Wood of the Priority Crime Team said: “This was a deliberate and organised operation which enabled stolen property to be handled and profited from, causing significant harm to victims. 

“By targeting those who conspire to receive stolen goods, we are disrupting organised crime groups and removing the infrastructure that allows this offending to continue. 

“This sentence sends a clear deterrent message that anyone involved at any level of organised criminal activity can expect to be identified, investigated and brought before the courts.”

A 28-year-old man from Lithuania has been deported and a 30-year-old man of no fixed abode, 41-year-old man from Watford, 28-year-old man from Bognor Regis and a 26-year-old man with no fixed abode have been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. They have all been released on bail whilst enquiries are ongoing.
