Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a firearms incident in Slough.
At around 5.50pm yesterday (5/6), a group of men had been walking along Earls Lane. We believe that a firearm was discharged in the direction of these men by occupants of a blue vehicle which had been travelling from Moor Furlong.
We believe that one of the men, who was on foot, was also in possession of a firearm and shot back at the occupants of the vehicle.
Both parties then fled the scene. We believe that no one sustained injuries in this incident.
The offenders are described as young men, wearing tracksuits and balaclavas.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Simon Reid said: “I understand that this may cause concern in the local community but I want to reassure you that we are investigating this as a priority.
“We believe that there is no wider threat to the public and will have an increased police presence in the area today.
“If you have any concerns or questions, please speak with a uniformed officer.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or the moments surrounding it.
“If you saw the four men running or a blue vehicle driving at speed in this area, please contact us.
“Anyone with information should call 101 or make an online report, via our website, quoting reference number 43260281816.”
