Thames Valley Police is issuing an update following a serious injury collision that occurred on 1 May.
On Friday 1 May, around 3.20pm, a collision happened between a red Mazda 2 and a blue Toyota Yaris on Purley Rise, in Purley on Thames.
The driver of the Mazda, a man in his eighties, was taken to hospital but has now sadly died from his injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
PC Jon Wildridge, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “Very sadly, the driver of the Mazda has now died from the injuries he sustained in this collision, and our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are still keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or saw either vehicle in the area beforehand.
“If you have any information, or relevant dashcam footage, please come forward as it may be vital to our enquiries.”
