Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for drug supply in Aylesbury.
Lucas Gomes, aged 30, of Barnet Road, Barnet, was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Thursday 11 June to two years and four months in prison.
Gomes pleaded guilty to one count each of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely cocaine and possession of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis resin.
Following a road traffic collision on 18 March this year on Buckingham Road where it was reported that Gomes smelt strongly of cannabis, he was located and detained on New Street. Following a search, officers found 28 individual bags of cocaine located on Gomes. In addition, he was also in possession of cannabis resin.

Investigating officer, PC Burridge said, “Gomes was found in possession of a significant quantity of cocaine, clearly intended for supply, as well as cannabis. Drug dealing has a direct impact on our communities, often fuelling further crime and exploitation.
“We are committed to tackling those involved in the supply of drugs and bringing offenders before the courts. This sentence demonstrates that this type of criminality will not be tolerated, and we will continue to take action to make our communities safer.”
