We can confirm that the victim has been formally identified as Achamma John, aged 58.
Our thoughts are with Achamma’s loved ones at this extremely difficult time.
A Home Office post-mortem examination found the provisional cause of her death to be a traumatic head injury with stab wound to the chest.
An inquest was opened and adjourned at Milton Keynes Coroners Court yesterday (8/6).
A 58-year-old man from Milton Keynes, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday 24 May, has been detained under Section 2 of the Mental Health Act.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Will Crowther said: “We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
“We request that the family’s privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time. Our family liaison officers continue to support them.”
