Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a collision between two cyclists in Oxford left a 75-year-old woman with a significant head injury.
The woman was cycling through the Littlemore Roundabout underpass at around 5.20pm on Tuesday (27/10) when she was involved in a collision with another cyclist travelling in the opposite direction.
She remains in hospital receiving treatment.
Investigating officers are appealing for anybody who witnessed the collision, or the events immediately beforehand, to come forward.
Investigating officer PC Ben Rowlands, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances of this collision and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened.
“This is a busy pedestrian and cycle route, and we believe there may have been people in the area who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it.
“I would also ask anyone who was cycling or driving in the area at the time and may have dash-cam, helmet-cam or other footage to please check their recordings and contact us if they have captured anything that could assist our enquiries.”
Anyone with information can contact Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference number 43260562633.
Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online.
