Thames Valley Police is appealing for the driver of a van who may have witnessed a robbery in Carterton to come forward.
At around 6.30pm on Saturday 10 October, a 14-year-old boy was robbed of his camera in the Burford Road and Hill View area of the town.
The victim was approached by an unknown man who demanded he hand over the camera before stealing a Canon 1100D and leaving the area.
Officers believe the driver of a white Ford Transit van witnessed the incident and may have important information to assist the investigation. The driver is described as a white man wearing a green hoodie and is believed to have tried to warn the victim that he was being followed.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Alex Kennedy, of the Priority Crime Team, said: “We believe the driver of this van could hold key information about what happened and are keen to speak to him.
“If you were driving a white Ford Transit van in the Hill View area of Carterton at around 6.30pm on Saturday and recognise yourself from this appeal, please get in touch.
“We would also like to hear from anybody who witnessed the robbery or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time it took place.”
The offender is described as a white man of olive complexion, believed to be in his 20s, approximately 6ft 1in tall and of very slim build. He had a defined jawline, dark closely-shaven hair, a short moustache and dark bags under his eyes. He was wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up.
