Witness appeal following assault and threats incident – Milton Keynes

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident in Milton Keynes.

At around 8.13pm last Monday (7/9), a 17-year-old girl was riding a scooter with a friend near the Co-op store in Tanfield Lane, Broughton.

It was reported that a light blue estate-style car stopped near the girls and that an altercation then took place involving two female occupants of the vehicle.

During the incident, threats were allegedly made and the teenager was then assaulted between Oakworth Avenue and Cavan Way. Thankfully, she did not sustain any injuries.

The suspects are described as both female, one aged approximately 50-years-old and the other aged around 18-years-old with long brown hair, worn in a pony tail.

Staff investigator Rosanna Dinnis said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed what happened to come forward.

“The incident occurred in the vicinity of the Co-op on Tanfield Lane at a time when there may have been people travelling through the area or visiting nearby businesses.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a light blue estate-style vehicle in the area around the time of the incident, or who may have dash-cam, CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage that could assist our investigation.
