Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Wantage.

The collision occurred between 12.15pm and 12.30pm yesterday (4/3) at the zebra crossing on Ham Road next to the junction of Naldertown.

A vehicle, a silver Volkswagen hatchback car, was in collision with a pedestrian. The car did not stop at the scene.

The victim, a 13-year-old boy sustained minor injuries during the collision. He later attended hospital where he was treated for his injuries and has since been discharged. 

Investigating officer, PC Andrew Harper, of the Roads Policing Unit based at Abingdon, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information to please contact Thames Valley Police via the 101 police non-emergency number quoting URN 615 - 04/03/2018.

“We are particularly keen to speak to a man who was driving a dark coloured Land Rover or similar shaped vehicle who may have witnessed the incident.”
